I've been thinking about dying the ends of my hair pink (ombre style) for a few weeks and I want some advice. I looked online at the Ion color brilliance semi permanent hair color cause it seems to be pretty popular (and super affordable). But I do not want to bleach my hair. I want to dye the ends pink, let it fade after a few washes, then dye it again if I feel like it. Less commitment that way. please if youve used this product before or just have some general tips comment below!

I have natural ash blonde hair thats down to my waist with lots lf layers. If I do it what kind of pink do you think would look good on my hair?

I think a pastel shade! But to be honest you'd have to lighten your hair at least a couple more shades.

I wouldn't recommend ion. Ion is most likely to stain your hair of all bright colored dyes. It's also harder for beginners and won't be as vibrant on unbleached hair. If you're just looking for a few weeks, try something like manic panic, punky colors or directions, and since your not bleaching it'll fade faster.

I'd try manic panics hot hot pink. It'll turn out a nice magenta on your hair. :)

@Alyx will it still stain the hair if I mix it with conditioner to get a more pastel shade?

It's not likely it'll stain, but there is a chance. I've never had manic panic or any veggie dyes stain my hair but ion did stain my hair and I've dyed my hair tons.

Yeah you sadly won't be able to so pastels because your hair has to be soooooooo light for it to work, but a hot pink from manic panic should be good :) also, if you want it out fast, put dish soap in your hair for a few minutes when you're in the shower and it's wet, and then wash it out :) it should remove it very fast but is super damaging. Good luck! Hopefully all goes well.
