I'm thinking about getting acrylics, but I want to make sure they past for a long time. How long do they usually last for?

Usually about 21/2 weeks til you have to get a fill in.

Well, you need to get the grown nails filled every 2 weeks. But the actual nails last forever if you're not SUPER rough on them. 😊

Sometimes it depends how fast your own nails grow, I can get away with nails for 4 weeks :)

I'm not sure why, but at least a couple of mine fall off within a week, but other ones hold on for dear life.

The quality of your nail tech is important. I've been with the same tech for 17 years. I worry like crazy when she's talking to everyone coming and going, not paying attention to the work she's doing on my nails and they come out perfect every set. I don't know how she does it! But she'd be an example of a superior nail tech. 2 1/2 weeks is a safe timeline for a fill. 3+ weeks I can do but I notice they start to look dingy or yellowed and the fill does last as long. Deductively thinking, it may be from oils and dirt making their way way under the acrylic layer as it separates from the natural nail. Hope this helps...I love acrylic but getting back into my natural nails after years and years in the nail shop.
