My hair is naturaly oily but only at the top/scalp but the rest of my hair is really dry and dull and not really course but it feels like it. I need a good hair maks to revive my dry dull lifeless hair. What are your favorite hair masks to give your hair a bit more life and shine. It can be ones you buy or ones you make.

I Have tried a whole bunch of hair masks and deep conditioners, so here are my reviews on them:
1. My ultimate favorite right now is the L'oreal Power Moisture Mask. It's not expensive, and it's sulfate and sodium chloride free. It's super light, kind of a jelly like texture that melts into your hair, and when you rinse it out your hair doesn't feel heavy or greasy, just hydrated. This is the blue one. I really, truly love it.
2. Aussie 3 Minute Miracle, which I leave on for a lot longer than 3 minutes. It's really nice, also cheap, smells lovely, and hydrates your hair. It's pretty light, but make sure you rinse it all out or your hair will be a grease pit.
3. Macadamia Deep Repair Masque. This was my favorite for a while, until I found the L'oreal one. After that, I find this to be a little too heavy for my hair. I have to be really careful with this one, otherwise my hair gets greasy the same day. If I rinse well enough, my hair feels super clean and hydrated, but there's a thin line between greasy and too dry if you rinse too much, so this mask can be tricky.
4. Keratin Complex Vanilla Bean Deep Conditioner (also used as a hair mask) it's awesome. It smells like vanilla and hydrates your hair flawlessly. It's also color protective, which is part of why I love it so much. It's not heavy, so if you leave it in for a while it's not going to weigh down your hair, but it is a bit more expensive than others.
5. I'm currently using the Organix Renewing Argan mask. It's also a bit on the heavy side, because it's oil based, but it seems to work fine so far. Also color safe, and also $6. It's a pretty good find :)

Those are just my opinions and what has worked for me!

I've been hearing a lot of people loveing coconut oil but my big question is how would you rinse it out? Because once coconut oil cool it hardens so wouldn't the coconut oil harden in you pipes of your shower. I'm just thinking this because its the same logic of not poring oils you use to cook with down the drain because they harden in your pipes.

I've been wanting to try Its A 10 spray for a while but everytime I look at the price I just can't justify it for a little bottle.

I like the macadamia deep repair masque. It makes my hair realy soft and smooth, and over the last few weeks I have noticed an overall difference in the quality of my hair. It's been getting dry from swimming.

I've been wanting to try the organix and loreal ones that Hannah mentioned as well! They have good reviews

Shawna, get one of the minis! The travel size is $13 I believe and it's seriously awesome because you need like 3 sprays and you're done. It will last forever.

Best one for me has been an Avocado hair mask that I make, it's one of my favorites. It makes my hair really strong, shiny and soft.
I make a lot of DIY masks though! I can't stand most store bought masks. They either do the same as my conditioner or are just a bunch of silicone and slip agents to make you think it does something.

I've never saw the minis before, Hannah. Where can you find them?
How do you make a DIY Hair Mask, Kitty? I've never actually made any mask. Do you just mush up an avocado then run it through your hair.

It'd a 10 hair masque treatment is a flipping godsend this summer. It takes parched crunchy pool hair to soft supple hair. It's not cheap but I only use it once in awhile.
