Cute! like Jacqlyn said, they don't hurt unless you size up too fast. which is what I did lol but I honestly got addicted to the pain. I just kept going bigger, but the last time didn't hurt because I waited so long.

How Long Do You Keep Them In Until You Go Down a Size??

You start out at about 1.6mm, then slowly go up in size (I only go by 1mm at a time and leave it for three weeks, then size up) it's important that you take your time because if you skip sizes or push the taper through too fast you can rip your lobes and they will end up looking like cat butts. Not to mention it's a bit pricey to properly stretch your ears as you need at least one surgical steel taper per size (or two if you want to do both ears at once) and a pair of surgical steel plugs/tunnels for each size as leaving tapers in for extended periods can make your lobes droop.

My ears were stretched to 24mm at one stage, I started off with 3mm lol but their are tiny little ones that're a smudge bigger than a normal earring you can start with (sorry I can't remember the size, I hated smaller sizes on myself lol) :) they don't hurt unless you stretch too fast.

They're tapers! but yes not called gauges. awesome! it's honestly not that bad, the pain. then again I have high pain tolerance. I'm currently stretching my ears again 😊 I had gone to a 00" before, I might go to 5/8" now 😁

I'm soooo glad my mom is laid back. I'm sure parents have their reasons for being strict (or could just be the way they were raised) but for the most part, aside from body piercings (not ears) and tattoos, mom doesn't get too stressed about what I so with my appearance.
