So basically, I have combination skin. It's typically dry, but it is sensitive and lately has been hating me. I can't get foundation on without it looking cakey or awkward. I put moisturizer on first and let it dry, then my foundation. what would be a good priced concealer and primer? Also, how can I get my skin looking healthier and my makeup looking more natural? I don't wear makeup very heavy. help please? thanks ladies.

I would suggest switching your foundation for a tinted moisturizer. It's lighter and thus more natural looking and you get hydration for your skin! A good tinted moisturizer has SPF which is greater all year round but especially in the Summer. I use Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer. It's a little on the pricey side the natural glow and lightness of the product makes it worth it. Good luck!

Try rose hip oil! it's made a huge difference in my skin, and mine is similar to yours.

What are you using skincare wise? I used to have dry skin and switched to a cleansing balm/ cream instead of a more gel based cleanser (Originally I was using Clinique's mild facial soap) and found this helped with any dry patches and my foundation applied a lot better.

I love CeraVe for dry skin (also in the summer I tend to get more combo). I use the Hydrating Cleanser and Moisturizing Cream, and its really gentle and helps with my dry patches, I also use other cleansers for acne treatment along with CeraVe. I love L'Oreals Magic Lumi Primer, it gives me a luminous glow that looks healthy. For foundation I love Clinique Even Better & Makeup Forever HD. Application is key with any foundation, I use brushes but a lot of people use Beauty Blender (I personally don't like it though,
It didn't offer me the right coverage, and I don't like heaviness) so I use Sephora Pro Airbrush #56 Brush and I loveeee it. It really makes my skin look flawless.

Also I use a Clarisonic daily w/ Delicate Brush Head and I adore it 😍 It made my skin look 100000% better lol (I've had it for 2 years). Its expensive but more than worth it to me. Some people don't like it but you have to use the right cleanser (I don't use the Clarisonic brand), correct brush head for your skin type, use gently (not pressing too hard), and using it consistently (every single night, not in morning though). Its not going to work right if you don't do those things. I also remove any makeup before using Clarisonic.

BB cream would be the best choice among all others.
