Gel experiment help!

Hi everyone, I have the opportunity to buy a gel kit tomorrow but before doing so I wanted to know if I can use it with regular polish. Can someone do this experiment for me please? Just prep some nail, put builder gel, cure, then put regular polish, let it dry for almost a full day, and the put builder gel on top and cure? Please tell me if it works ok I would really appropriate it! Thanks <3.

I bought the Sensationail gel kit on my toes and it has been on for over 3 weeks. I have yet to try it on my hands though.

And no it won't last, the polish isn't gel polish and won't dry properly or look as well.
