I've always wanted lighter hair and I'm wondering what's your opinion on using this... And do you think it's a good idea for me?

I have never heard of this method, but natural methods tend to take much longer. I don't recommend dying it (did that and regret it) but I do recommend a product called sun in. I use it and love it(:

It will work. You probably won't be a full on blonde though and it's damaging.

I don't want to be blonde I just want to be a lighter brunette. How damaging will it be?

You just have to take the time to really condition your hair during it. Maybe a leave in conditioner. Lemon juice will really dry out your hair and make it look unhealthy.

This could also make it look orange and brassy as mostly - practically all home remedies do. Don't expect amazing fast results.
Personally dying has never ever damaged my hair and I don't see why everyone is so against it. I would recommend it but that's just me I guess

Sun in is amazing and inexpensive. I love it. I used it on my hair and it took me from a brunette to a blonde (with a lot of use) with minimal damage!

I've done this before, trust me don't waste your time. I looked brassy & then had to dye my hair anyway bc of what it did. it dried my hair out too. don't do it!! if you want lighter hair start out w suttle highlights. never bleach! that's horrible too.

Bleach isn't even that bad, personally bleaching is really the only way to get sure results when lightening hair but you could try the method you posted, just be aware there's a chance it'll leave your hair orange or maybe not even do anything at all, don't expect too much. :)

I don't think I'm going to do it since people have been saying it makes your hair look brassy.

Do you think I should lighten it? If I do I'll use sun in.

Sun in will make your hair orange if you have brown hair. Says it right on the bottle

Lemon juice really dries out your hair so really condition it well or use some coconut oil before or after

I heard that the lemon juice is really bad for your hair but I don't know I've done it before a couple times and nothing changed.

Yeah and shaye m. Is right bleaching isn't really that bad it's only if you keep re-bleaching the same parts over and over again that it's bad for you

Well, in the 6th grade I used sun in and it turned my hair a pretty honey blonde (I started off slightly darker than you) but my natural hair has a strong ash undertone. When you get to the shade you like you WILL have warm undertones, but that can be easily fixed with purple shampoo and a toner.

I think loreal makes a product called "Brass Banisher" (it may be a different brand I don't know lol) but you can get it at walmart. I personally have never used it so I can't tell you how it works but if your results are too warm you can try it :)

Sun in or anything like it does make your hair color copper especially if you have reddish brown hair anw you can use it and have nice result by minimal use.. for dying your hair I blv if you visit a good salon you will have a good result :)
