When I went red and dark purple a while ago is used garnier from my Wal-Mart works great, not sure about the blond though my hair was fairly dark when I went dark red and purple a while back and it turned out how I wanted, but if you have really dark thick hair it might turn out more of how you want it with bleaching it a little, and use two boxs of dye, I've made the mistake on not doing thise going from blond to brown, just remember that reds and purples fade, I dyed my hair red in the summer so it faded faster, just remember to treat it well and don't damage it too much with heat, but this color would look great on you!

I like the Deep Burgundy or Black Cherry (same color but it says both names on different parts of the box) by Garnier. If that isn't red enough, you can add a little bright red dye.
