I came across a perfume my mom had when I was just a baby and there's still lots in it (it's in a cat bottle) so just out of curiosity, does perfume go bad? Thanks xx

Yeah perfume can go bad. Usually they last a few years, more if cared for correctly. My perfume used to be on a shelf so it got exposed to the sun which ruined it. It smelled like harsh alcohol and nail polish remover. As long as it's not exposed to sun or extreme temperatures it can last for a long time.

Yes the cheap stuff does.

Cheap perfume does but as for the expensive stuff, I think it just gets less potent. I once read that the little shelf life sticker on the back just means it doesn't necessarily so bad but it's less potent. Like eyeshadows may not be as pigmented for example. I don't know for sure though. Just decide for yourself if it's bad or not.
