Does soap strip your face?

I've been using the dove beauty bar (pomegranate one) and its been helping soooo much with my acne, and recently I hear that soap strips your face so I bought a cleanser and a exfoliator and let me tell you it broke me out soooo much!! And I realized that salylic acid does not help me with acne...and this bar has helped me so much and I love it!! But does soap really strip your face? And is it bad?

Here's what I think: if it works for you, doesn't dry your skin, and doesn't break you out, why not? Dove is actually better for your skin than most soaps.

I also agree with Hannah! As long as you don't feel anything wrong with your skin then I don't see a problem with using it! If it helps you stick with it!

I actually used hand soap for my face and it helped my acne as well..it was weird!

I love Dove soap, its one of the only things that really helps my skin. but they're not like regular bars of soap. they're supposed to contain moisturizers as well, which is why they're labeled 'beauty bars', I believe. Also- I use the basic one, how is the pomegranate? is it better than the regular type?

Dove soap is dangerous. That is like a danger in one little bar. It contains so much poison I don't know how to evene describe. Smh.

I'd say make your own DIY soap that way you know what YOU put on your body
