It only works for extremely oily acne prone skin. I have sensitive skin and it broke me out something horrible. They said thats how it works. lies! Once i stopped my skin became clear.
it works differently for each person since we all have different skin, but it did do a little something for me :) it did make my skin burn at first since I have sensitive skin on my face but then I guess I got used to it. and it also did help clear up blemishes and help with break outs. the only bad thing about it that I have to say, which isnt even that bad, is that I used to have really oily skin and now it's reeeally dry, I can not go with out moisturizing or my skin will flake.
Don't Do It!! Using Pro Active for a short time left permanent pigmentation problems on my skin. I have a small patch of skin on my cheek bone that was bleached lighter due to pro active. Go to the spa for pixel treatments and see a dermatologist. If your acne is on your jaw line- that is hormonal and no topical product will help.
I use proactive and I love it! It really helped me get rid of my acne but some days it does make my face dry out. But if you have sensitive skin I wouldn't use it.
Look, basically if you want to wash you face in acid go a head. I am a qualified beauty therapist and I would always have girls come into the salon saying they use it. I would tell them to throw it out and gave them a proper Skincare range for their skin. it strips and dries out the skin like crazy. Go into a beauty salon and get Skincare products from them. they are trained so will know what's the best for your skin.
I haven't used it, but friends of mine have. It's like any skin product; how well it works for you depends on your skin type.
I would steer clear of it if you have dry or sensitive skin, as the active ingredient is benzoyl peroxide which is very drying and harsh to skin.
I have heard that Dermalogica products are very good, and I recommend seeing a dermatologist or beauty therapist with lots of experience in skin and facial treatments to find out more about your skin type and what products will work best.

Avoid the Sun! You must stay out of the sun when using proactive, you must also use SPF which can cause more acne.

Personally, it dried the crap out of my skin and I didn't really find that it cleared up my acne.. But everyone is different!

Worked perfectly when I first got it. Then after a while it made my skin dry and didn't work as well
