I have a few questions.

Question 1: So yesterday I bought my first bb cream, wanted to try it out, it was the Maybelline dream one... the one in the greenish bottle that works on acne. I really loved the way it looked on my skin but I got the lightest shade and it was a little bit too dark. And a bit on the orangy side, my skin is more pink. Does anyone know what's a good bb cream that's lighter than that? Oh and it doesn't need to do anything for acne. I don't really have acne.

Question 2: do they not make L'Oreal true match lumi in Cool 1 and 2? I went to 2 stores and both of them started at C3 :( so I guess I can't use that foundation.

Question 3: I have wrinkles under my eyes... I'm only 21 but my under eyes are dry and when I put concealer on it really shows those lines. Does anyone have a good suggestion for an eye cream, maybe a nighttime eye cream that works to repair those wrinkles?

Question 4: how do you all use the Maybelline instant age rewind concealer? I know I've read that the applicator isn't good. How do you use it? Do you transfer it to another bottle?

If you can answer any of these questions I'd really appreciate it :) Thanks :)

1. I've heard the Lumene bb cream is pretty light. although, you might want to try a higher end bb cream they have more shades than drugstore ones.

4. I love Maybelline instant age rewind for brightening up the under eye. It blends beautiful, and looks beautiful. been using it forever. It's not super good coverage, so if you need that, I wouldn't recommend. I use the sponge, lmao, I've heard about it too. People just remove the sponge, and use a brush to apply.

For the 1st question I really like Vichy it's a bit more expensive but it's worth it my skin tone is pretty light and it matches.. It blends with your color..
Question 3: revita lift eye cream by loreal I love it.. I'm twenty and use it twice a day morning an night
For question 2 go on their website they'll tell you what they have and then you can either purchase it online or go to the drugstore and find it... :)

I can only answer 4 lol.

I took of the sponge after a while as it got all gross and now I just apply it with my fingers:) or with a sponge

Lumene was super orange and much too dark for me. I prefer Etude House, but Liole, Misscha, and Skin79 are all great brands with a variety of BB creams to suit different needs.

My local Rite Aid carries all of the True Match, but now I can't remember if they start at 3 or not. I'm neutral toned so I tend to avoid the cool foundations as they turn me pink. Try going to their website and see if the shades actually exist?

I have those wrinkles too, it's likely caused by the shape of your eye. There's not really anything you do about it. Moisturizer will help with the dryness, but it is virtually impossible to completely fill the wrinkles without surgical intervention (fillers, etc.).

For that concealer, I ripped off the stupid sponge and just use my finger. I dot it around my eye and nose, then blend it out with my ring finger or a disposable sponge in a tapping motion.

2. I'm from the UK and have used Loreal True Match in C1 so they definitely make it. Maybe they just don't stock it in your area?

3. I really like the Keihl's Avocado eye cream. Expensive yes but you need so little a pot will last you ages! I'm the same age as you with occasional dryness around the eyes and use this morning and night. It's a relatively new purchase though and I really like it.

Thanks everyone for your really helpful answers :) I am just really fed up with makeup right now. I just spent 2 hours trying to make my makeup look nice and it looks worse than ever. And it usually looks bad. I've concluded that I can't do eyeshadow. I'm not even going to bother trying anymore. The Maybelline age rewind concealer is far too dry for under my eyes. Made me look disgusting. I'm just fed up and sick of makeup. I'm sick of trying cuz I've been trying to get good at it for months and I still can't look good. I feel like I wanna just quit makeup but I can't cuz I look gross without it. And then I see all these pretty pictures and everyone else is just SO good at it :( mine is an embarrassment. Idk what to do :(

Sorry for the rant, I'm just having a really hard time right now. I guess I have to just try again. I'll get one of those eye creams and try to find a better concealer..

Sarah and Becky: are you talking about the lumi version?

Thanks again everyone you're all so helpful :) and I'm sorry for being so discouraged :/

I have the same problem as you in terms of concealer creasing under the eyes. I use The Body Shop's Aloe eye cream twice a day to moisturise the area. I also had the same problem with the Age Rewind concealer, and much prefer the Rimmel Wake Me Up concealer. It's a lot more fluid so I find it doesn't settle as much. Don't worry about makeup not looking how you want it to at the minute, it can take AGES to find out what products are right for you. It's an ongoing learning process 😊

Sorry, I misread. I'm pretty sure the lumi is quite restricted in the shade range. However you could try mixing the original true match in C1 with the lumi primer or mac's strobe cream for a similar effect. Or if you don't mind spending the lumi magic is actually a pretty close dupe for the YSL touche eclat foundation which is really lovely. I'm C1 in true match and translate into a BR10 in the YSL.
