Help dying hair extensions.

So I bought this virgin 100% human hair a and tried dying it with a box dye but it didn't work out.. I figured the hair was too dark so I bought loreal hair dye for dark hair and added 20 volume developer to it (didn't want the hair to get damage) now it's been 4 hours and the hair doesn't even look like it's processing into the new color (dark burgundy like plum color) what should I do?

I don't know how to fix it but I will say that dye usually stops working after a hour or two so leaving it on more isn't really do anything

Sometimes extensions have some sort of coating, kinda to keep them shiny and nice, etc.that usually should be washed off before dying and stuff like that. That's just a reason it might be happening, I don't know for sure cause I haven't had this problem. :)

The best thing to do is take them to s urban beauty supply an have them color it to the color of your desire.
