I hear that using mayonnaise in your hair can really help. But I'm not totally sure if it works 😬

It does work if you can stand the smell. I only used it on my ends though not my whole head

Do I do it once a week?  ^

Yes. I usually pair it with an oil such as olive oil, coconut oil, Moroccan oil and I I coat that all over my hair besides the actual scalp cause it will make your hair greasy. I put my hair up into a bun and put a plastic bag over my hair (I got this idea off pintrest- don't judge lol) and then I use a high dryer to heat it up and that makes the stuff work better cause heat opens up the cuticle.
My hair does not get oily fast at all so I can go honestly get away with not taking a shower for 8 days or so so I do this on the day that I do shower to typically once a week yeah. This is just me though lol I'm no hair expert. There's very good hair masks and deep conditioners you could purchase and you should check out some reviews as well. Hope I could help somewhat. I doubt it though :P

Oh my gosh hair dryer not high dryer
And the shower thing made me sound nasty, I shower every day I just don't need to wash my hair and I shouldn't all the time because it's a bright red. Just clearing that up lol I ain't completely nasty

Josie Moran hot oil treatments...sephora. instead using a hair dryer, try putting a hotel in the dryer to get good and hot...then wrap around your head over some plastic wrap or bag.
