I really want to dye my hair purple but right now its got a few different colors in it, like blues and pinks plus my natural color which is dark brown. I'm not so much interested in the process, but rather some steps I can take to achieve the best result when I go to my stylist. this is a pic of the color I want.

I'd say just make sure your hair is washed, try to strip the colors off your hair as much as you can. :)

Don't use product in your hair for a couple days before you go in. They can act as a barrier for the bleach and can make it a longer process and possibly more damaging.

If you can fade your hair, you won't need to bleach those parts again.
I'd actually recommend against bleaching if it's still got veggie dye in it. Bleaching it can push the dye further and cause it to stain. If you can even get your hair to a light pastel, the purple will easily go over it. I did the same thing. You can wash your hair with dish soap a few times to get rid of the color, and use baby shampoo too.

Are you dying your whole head or just the pieces you have colored already? If you are bleaching, then go in with dirty hair, if not, go in with clean hair unless they plan on washing it. Veggie dye needs to be applied to shampooed only hair to work best.

It'll look so good! :) I had a similar hair color with manic panics ultra violet. Remember the photo is photoshopped a bit, it's way over contrasted in some areas of her hair so it might not come out that bright and shiny.

How faded is your hair? If you still have the turquoise in your hair try to remove as much as possible. :)
