I'm going to go to the salon on Sunday , and you're supposed to have dirty hair when you dye your hair right? But I did put products in my hair since last Sunday and I heard you shouldn't have any products on your hair to dye it.
So should I wash it today and let it get greasy till Sunday? Or something else? Please help.
I'll put bellow the hair color I'm going for.

Your hair should be dirty not clean. the oil is what protects your hair from damaging.

You should let your hair be a day old before dying so that the natural oils will help protect your hair when getting it colored. More than a day old will have too much oil, causing the hair dye to not stick onto your hair! Hope this helps :)

Abi I washed my hair today and I'll get my hair done Sunday so I guess it's alright for your ombré but don't put any products on your hair!

That's all a myth...I do hair and in all honesty I love clean hair...The dye needs to be put on clean hair cause if you leave the grease the color will go on grease and will wash off when Your hair gets washed after color service. It's personal preference so I think calling and asking where Your getting it done is best...hope that helps.

You should always color your hair when it's oily, the natural oil provides some protection for your hair. Wait at least a day after washing to color it. The color doesn't take any better on day before washed hair.
