So right now, I want to get rid of the orange or yellow hues in my ombre. I have a 20 volume developer with some toner. I was wondering if it's okay to apply it evenly on my ombre? My concern was that it will change the gradually fade of the colors getting from dark to light?

I think you should just find a blue toner or blue tone shampoo for it. I don't know much about developers but I don't know is it's worth the risk. The blue toner I use is attached below (:

Blue is better if your hair is more on the Orange side.

Try the red gold color corrector at Sallys.

20 vol would turn it into not a toner but a color. Usually toners deposit only and are either used with 10 vol or a seperate kind of developer. Try toning shampoos like shimmer lights or something similar. Most salons will give you a glaze or toner for a pretty reasonable price also check around
