I was watching itsjudytime 'my makeup story' and on her last question when it asked her this she said she personally feel like it's not a community anymore. so I wanted to know your thoughts as well. What do you think?

Well it all depends , some people look at it as , beauty is the same to clothes. But in our mind when we think of beauty we think of Makeup , hair , how to this/that to the face. So Beauty means something different to each and everyone. I don't think it has changed , I just think new ideas is popping up as we speak.

90% of these Beauty 'gurus' are paid to advertise products, especially those that have a bunch of Coupon codes.
The YouTube industry isn't about making videos and having fun anymore, it's about the Best video, the best quality, the best face, the prettiest most picturesque background/bedroom/set up, etc.
I rarely see swaps/collabs and all these activities they used to do... so far the only 'collabs' I have seen has been with target and other companies offering to film professionally as long as they use products they want to have promoted.
I mean seriously, most of these girls just happen to have every little thing BhCosmetics releases lately while its barely announced, and its funny to see BHCosmetics promotes them on their page.
And everyone is in on how YouTubers make some real good $$$, so now everyone 'aspires' to be a youtube vlogger for the incorrect reasons. YouTube wasn't the way it used to be years ago.
Youtube really isnt about community anymore, its about hitting the top and making $$$ out of it.

I don't really think so either. All I see is reviews and sponsering and hauls. They don't even give information anymore. I understand that you want a few free products and perks but when everybody is making the same videos and being so basic its really irritating.
I remember when everyone was different, would reply to your comments, connect with you. Most don't reply to one single comment, I don't describe that as a community at all!

I don't think I can give a valid answer. I feel like unless you are one of the beauty content creators on YouTube, you can't really know what goes on. We can't witness the cattiness or drama first hand, if there is some. We aren't inside their world. We are just outsiders. We can't know that's behind the scenes just as viewers. And anything we do know about it, is what they choose to reveal. But that's only one side of the story. I feel like anything I say would be just guessing or assuming.

@renay yes that annoys me! But a lot of people actually like to watch which is the reason they continue to do it. I unsubbed to sooo many of the big youtubers because they are just so fake!
