I heard that if you do that,it definitely helps, but the bleaching process takes longer>.<

Oil will block your hair from absorbing the bleach so it will take loner to bleach so in theory it should work

It's near impossible to lighten hair without damaging it in some sort of fashion. I'd advise not to put that on before you lighten your hair. The best thing to do is go to a professional and invest in proper haircare supplies that include shampoo and conditioner with a hair mask and a daily leave in.

I've done both but it didn't make a difference. Bleach when done properly is not actually that damaging. I've had my hair bleached at least 6 times in the past two years and it's healthier than most peoples unbleached undyed hair.

I used it in my hair over night, then the next day I bleached my hair. It took two times to get it to the right color, (white basically) and I strarted with virgin dark brown hair. It really kept it from as damaging as it could've been, I can tell because before I let my hair grow out natural, I used to be platinum a few years back too. It's definitely worth it, and it does delay the processing time a bit longer. But here are my results using:
-quick white bleach
-40 devolver (creme)
-a little purple squirt bottle to tone while bleaching
-wella t18 toner (after bleaching, mixed with a 20 vol. developer)
-and to up keep my hair staying healthy, coconut oil hair masks ONCE A WEEK is a must

You can see how dark my hair is from my roots and eyebrows, yes those are my natural brows!! Xx

Good luck babe
