Baby shampoo was really good for cleaning them and is gentle.

I wash mine with warm water and baby shampoo and hang them bristle side down to dry. Don't use hot water because it'll undo the glue that holds the brush together and cold water won't break down the make up and clean the brush. Be careful not to get water down the ferrule or the glue will dissolve and the brush will fall apart. Don't worry, I don't think you'll ruin them :)

Just use baby shampoo and dry them with the bristles upside down, don't wash them to often if you must just spot clean them with 91% alcohol or higher, alma and jackie have mentioned that using oil to wash your brushes is notthe best thing to do I personally have never tried putting oil on my brushes but if you think about it its common sense, put it this way when you wash your hair an all and put a little oil on your hair what happens? It stays oily, ok so imagine your oily bristles from the brush being brushed against your favorite blush, what going to happen? Those oils are going to be swipes on to your blush and ruin it like I said I have never tried it but if you think about it, it might not be the best thing to do but if u want a person whos tried it experience i would suggest asking alma and jackie
