So I'm getting my second hole done for both ears and I might be getting my cartilage done for my right ear (I want to put the piercing as a hoop) and I wanted to know what are your guys tips for taking care of it, what are some cute earrings to go with it and if it hurts from your experience. Thanks!

I got my cartilage pierced in 4th grade. It doesn't hurt at all. But then again, I have a high pain tolerance. Just make sure to clean it 2-3 times a day

I agree with Leona. Get the needle not the gun. The gun may hurt less but it's much better to use the needle.

Not long but a gun isn't fully clean and can cause a shattered ear!

Only downside is sleeping on them really lol.

I had both done with a gun years back one went bad one is fine and never had any problems. But getting it done with a needle is cleaner and you won't have any chance of shattering the cartilage. Awkward to sleep on for a couple days but no probs!

I agree with getting it done with a needle, not a gun. The gun is fine on the "pulpy" parts like the earlobe but it can shatter cartilage. Good luck! ;D.

Make sure you clean it 2-3 times a day and make sure hair isn't getting wrapped around.

The needle is in your ear for like a few seconds before they push the jewelry through. it doesn't hurt that bad.

I got my cartilage last month and it doesn't hurt at all and I have three in my ear lobes and those don't hurt either and I got them all done with a gun and I didn't have a problem but if you can get it with a needle get a needle.
