I'm 14 and I don't use makeup. I'm going into Grade 9 and I feel like I will need to know how to use it and what products I should have, at home and at school in a makeup bag. Help?

Mascara, lip products of some sort, concealer, powder, blotting papers, brow pencil, light eyeshadow.

It somewhat depends on your personal taste, but when I was in ninth grade, this is what I had
At home: Foundation, concealer, powder, eyeliner, mascara, eye shadows, brushes (eyeshadow, eyeliner, powder) and Chapstick.
At school I carried these for reapplication as needed: eyeliner (I'm big eyeliner fan) mascara, powder, and Chapstick.
In my makeup bag was the same as at school.
Hope this helped!

Eyeliner...and if you really want you could get foundation but I wouldn't unless you desperately want it or have acne or something.

Totally agree with Olivia but sometimes for like homecoming or semi eyeliner is a must-have too.

I would have a mascara,(I suggest the rocket by maybelline, tinted lip balm, a lightweight foundation or bb cream, setting powder (maybelline fit me) and some natural looking eyeliner (maybe brown)?

Thanks for the help guys, I'll definitely get those. Another question, what's the difference between BB cream and foundation?

Bob cream is usually a lot lighter than foundation. I would say go with a bb cream if you do not have lots of acne. Everyone usually gets a spot or two so get a good concealer. I've heard great reviews on the garnier bb cream...

Honestly in grade 9 it's your first year and you don't want to wear too much, I'd say just a concealer to cover your dark circles and spots, a little mascara, and a tinted lip balm!!

It depends on what your skin looks like if its really clear but only a few pimples use some concealer and maybe some BB cream. You can use some nude eye shadows so it looks natural and Mascara is my vest friend but don't use to much so it looks like as I said natural. Also you can have maybe some lip stains or lip glosses. Also if you have chap lips have Chapstick with you always. Once you figure out which makeup products work for you and you include them in your everyday makeup routine or your essentials have extras and bring it in a makeup bag in your bag.

My freshmen year I wore mascara and concealer and chapstick everyday once and a while I'd wear eyeliner too.

Bb cream if you what some coverage, mascara, a little bit of neutral eyeshadow if you want, and a tinted Chapstick or some sort of not bold lipstick, and maybe neutral eyeliner. It really all depends on personal taste. Ease into it though.
