Hey ladies! I just bought the UD Naked 3 pallet (after buying 2 new Too Faced pallets last month) and got to thinking. What do you splurge on versus save on?
I splurge on:
All face care- am/pm creams, toner, wash, masks etc...
Eye shadow/primer
Mascara
Lippies
Shampoo and my hair color
Accesories- Purses, shoes and jewlery
Jeans
Bras
I save on:
All face make-up
Eyeliner
Hair styling products and conditioner (my hair is too long for the expensive stuff)
Shirts and tops
Undies
Tell me yours!

I splurge on: face makeup, skin care, eyeshadow, hair care
And I tend to save on stuff like: Mascara, lipstick, blush, purses, and clothing lol I never splurge on clothing but always do for makeup!
Thanks for posting this thread :)

I splurge on hair extensions, and save on everything else. Occasionally I will splurge on a good concealer or mascara, but not very often.

Splurge - face makeup (foundation, concealer)
Save - skin care (cleansers, toners, spot treatments) and most other makeup items that are not face makeup (lipstick, shadow, etc) I tend to just get whatever is on sale or buy an expensive item with a coupon : P

I splurge on face products, mascara and eyeshadows, save on blush, lippies, eyeliners..but its a mix of both. I like to use Whole Foods/Co-Op natural/organic skincare and bodycare, which is splurge-ish. Haircare is in in the middle.

Like Janet said, I splurge on hair. Also when it comes to palettes & limited edition products. I recently started buying higher end face primers & powder. Everything else I save.

That's I tough one because I splurge/save in just about all major categories. Just off the top I will splurge on skincare and cosmetics (saving on mascara though) shoes I splurge because I want to have great looking feet when I hit the golden years so I avoid shoes with synthetic linings and nothing outrageous that makes my feet cry after 2 hours. Undergarments...splurge...quality over quantity. Clothing...same motto.

Splurge : eye shadow. ( cheap pigment makes my eye itch and that's a no no)
lipstick (although I have some cheap brands that are go to's end of the day they get given away a lot faster)
some skincare.
foundation (I dip into drugstore but I'm starting to gravitate back to MAC Clinique and Mary Kay.)
bags, shoes, coats, (the foundation of the outfit. I still am savy about finding sales tho).
saves:
mascara (I'm a Maybelline girl all the way).
eyeshadow primer (I don't use it often and the elf ones work good enough when I do)
eye and lip liners
hair products (omg, I have some thick long hair n go thru hard products so quickly. I simply can't afford to spend a lot of this. so I have my key brands n have some picks that work very well despite the low price)..
tee shirts. (I'm a white tee/tank girl. n if its more than $5 I can't do it. lol. :)

Mascara is definitely a product I've learned I can save on. Drugstore mascaras are usually just as good if not better than high end for a fraction of the price but I always splurge on face products, the difference is very noticeable.

Splurge:
- shampoo/conditioner
- face/eye primers
- mascara
- eye shadow
- sports jerseys
Save:
- foundation
- powder
- eyeliner
- lip products
- skin care: I use Olay everything and it works great for my skin
- hair styling products
- blush
- most of my clothes I save on, I don't like spending a lot of money on clothes, I never have. And since I wear the same thing almost every day because of work, my closet is pretty small and my options are limited. Same goes for shoes.
- accessories like jewelry and handbags, especially handbags because mine always take a beating

I like this topic, I splurge on all my makeup everything I use on my face is high end from cosmetics to facial care. Some of my hair products are splurge for ex I use carols daughter lavender oil and pomade but I swear by clear scalp and boxed hair dye. I save major when it comes to clothing and shoes as long as they are cheap or on sale I buy it with the exception of panties and bras I splurge on those as well (:

Hmm some of the we can easily say we're calling drugstore as saving and everything else splurging but with clothing and shoes and bags, one man's save is another man's splurge or the other way.
Splurge- makeup I have a pro discount at M.A.C and Nigel's so far and I'm Rouge at Sephora. But the pro discounts at the first two make for good deals and it's for work, but it's very large amounts of money at Nigel's, sigh.
Save?-I thought I had a lot of clothes but then I helped my two best friends move and realized I have nothing. So I'm ok in that area. I don't usually spend too much per item, I'm pretty stalky for discount codes and watching an item go on sale via Internet if I want something. But I did buy a Love Moschino dress on HauteLook for $99, which I don't think is a lot for a dress really, especially one that was $590 originally. I try to buy things that way, I got a cute BCBG top for 49.99 +20% off and two things from Philosophy with the discount plus free shipping so that it all totaled 94$ from IDeeli. I thought that was good too.
Splurge- not a huge splurge here just a refusal to be uncomfortable. I'm done with cheap shoes, they hurt and they don't fit well. I'd rather pay the extra money and have it feel good so I wear it and get use out of it
