Why does it look so glossy?

Did halloween makeup, didn't use any kind of glossy color... but yet it looks glossy. Any halloween makeup pros know why? Please help! Also, suggestions and opinions too. All I used was Halloween makeup kit from the Halloween store, Loreal true match lumi and Rimmel stay matte.

In the halloween makeuo kit was blood, liquid latex and a cream color pallete.

It could be the little sparkles in the makeup and the use of light colours.

Thanks, the only light color used was yellow though.

I would probably use matte shadows

I didn't want to use any of my shadows. I just wanted to use the kit and my foundation. They're all creams from the kit. The only thing that was sparkly was the yellow and I don't even know why. It didn't look sparkly in the kit, but when I put it on, it was sparkly. I guess I'm just going to have to deal with it.
