Hey girls,
So I've been on the pill for 2-3 years now. 3 months ago I changed my brand to Alesse because my other pill was causing nausea and heartburn every day. I always had very clear skin with a pimple or two every few months. Since I've changed my pill I have pimples every where and my face is red. Also I alwayd have longlasting scarring. I just want to show you comparison pics and find out if its normal. What would you do? Its really hard to meet with doctors here so I'd love to hear what you have to say:) if I need to I will... Thanks!

I was doing really well with my birth control but for some reason they gave me Alesse this month & I've been nauseous & getting painful pimples next to my mouth :(

I always recommend the implant (nexplanon) its waaaaayy better than any pill I've taken. Literally no side affects, random periods is the only con for me. Plus it lasts three years and there is no up keep, and you can't "forget" to take it.

But to answer your question, yes it is definitely normal to have hormonal breakouts while taking the pill.

I am also taking Alesse and they say when you first start a new brand that you will get symtoms like nasuea but to continue the pills. If it doesn't go away in a couple weeks I would go see a doctor. Also when I first started Alesse I got more pimples for a few weeks then it died down and now I only get a couple a week. Just keep taking it.

Your acne is most likely a hormonal based situation. I suggest consulting with your doctor about other alternatives.

I agree with kaitlyn ,Jenna & jacqlyn, you should talk to your dr about other alternatives. The nexplanon (implant) gave me no side affects either but stopped my period all together I love that it last for 3 years & like kaitlyn said, you can't "forget" to take it or anything you don't have to worry about it.

My doctor told me to try them for three months because that's time for your body to get used to it and settle down.

I was on Depo shot for a few years and always had clear skin. Clearest it's ever been until I switched to the pill 2 months ago and now my face is horrible! Going back to the shot!
