Hair bleaching/trying to go silvery blonde!

Hi ladies!

I've been thinking about going a silvery (more white) ash blonde for a while but I don't really know what would be best for my hair!

Before I ask my millions of questions, here's a bit of history!

About a year and a half ago, I dyed my hair a golden ombre(which has pretty much left the tiniest bit of bleached ends but most is gone. Then about a year ago, I decided to go a maroonish red for about 5 months or so (I only dyed it twice the red) and then about 5 months ago, I dyed it a medium brown and haven't touched it since June. I believe the brown dye is slightly faded because you can see a bit of a reddish undertone on my hair but it's on my ends to right where my ends are and the rest are basically my natural roots.

I have been using a clarifying shampoo about once/twice a week for about four months so some of the color is probably stripped from doing that.

I've thought about going to the salon; however, I'm new in town and don't feel like spending $300-$400 dollars (on average according to two different salons) on someone I don't trust enough to help me achieve the color I want! If it was my regular colorist, maybe but not someone I don't really know and who says it's possibly that I might not even be able to achieve the color I want and may have to live with a caramel dark blonde and then redo the process all over again in a few weeks/months and basically spending more money than I ever thought you could spend on hair.

I have been considering doing it all my self because I have bleached hair before(not mine, but others) and we've achieved both colors the people wanted but I've never had to do it hair with the reddish tones!

I've researched ways to lighten hair naturally so the bleaching process would be a bit easier for me but I'm completely clueless about bleaching reddish brown hair! I have test bleached a strand of hair with the prismlites violet bleach (only lifts 4 levels) just to see what would happened with the bleach and it came out to a light/medium caramel brown and not really red.

Sorry for the super long post but I really want to gather as much information before doing anything!

Suggestions on products/advice? Or maybe alternative solutions?

I bleached my hair last night with clairol professionals powder and crew developer. It bleached it pretty well but some parts came out darker than the others. I believe it's cause I started from the top of my head then worked my way down. I suggest you try those products and start from your ends then work your way up! Leave it in for about 30 mins and then start toning it with Manic Panics Virgin Snow! (I suggest the amplified formula)! Good luck!

Go to a salon!! Because when using the bleach you can actually burn off your hair, even professionals do it (obviously not great but what I'm getting at, is that is hard to do right)

Yo! I went silver earlier this year and I was lifting from dyed black hair, did it all myself at home. If I did it all over again, I would buy Schwarzkopf BlondeMe 9 level lift powder bleach. (I have access to a professional stylist who can buy me pro products, however.) if you don't have a pro, Prism Lites blue bleach is available at Sally's. The thing with silver/white hair is that you're bleaching so high that the red tones aren't going to be a problem. You will probably have to do two processes though, which you'll have to make the call on whether your hair can handle that or not. The color you're aiming for is the inside of a banana, and once you use a good toner (Rusk Icy White or Wella Color Charms T18) it'll be exactly the way it should be. Feel free to message me on my profile as well if you have more questions:)

And Wella T18 seems to be a popular choice! Haha. Everyone recommends it!

If the toner doesn't do anything for you, try mixing blue-purple dye in a conditioner and using that. The Wella toner didn't do a thing on my hair, but the purple really worked.
