Heyyyy. I know this isn't the typical place to ask but the piercer I go to won't be in until Wednesday so I'm asking all of you for help.
How do you treat an infected navel piercing? I was it every day with Dial soap as I was instructed and I even use a saline wound wash but I got an infection anyways.
What can I do to get rid of this infection.
I'm still going to talk to my piercer when she's in but until then any tips?
Thanks!!

How often are you cleaning it? And what sort of salt are you using? It needs to be rock/sea salt and diluting it in warm water then cleaning it gently or applying the cup directly to your belly area (with friction) keep it there for a few minutes. Don't move the piercing while you're cleaning it and try to avoid bumping it. Don't over clean it, twice is enough a day.

Oh, and make sure you don't remove the piercing while it's infected or it could trap the infection in.

Thank you so much! And I have been cleaning it once to twice a day.

I have been using a pre-packaged wash that is a non-iodized saline solution in a spray type can.

I always cleaned mine with peroxide and it never got infected.
