Heyy everyone :) I have small dark spots on my face :( I've tried a few different products to lighten them some make them look lighter for a while but then after two weeks or so they're back to dark again. I can't go to my dermatologist till January so I'm a bit lost. I always need to wear bb cream and foundation powder which is just a pain because I do lots of sport and sweat and then it gets all cakey and bla bla bla. I just wanted to ask if anyone knows something that would really work. Thanks :*

I use green primer. but I was thinking of a solution to make the spots go away so I don't have to wear makeup at all.

Vitamin C is your best bet. Lots of high-end lighteners contain it, and it's going to be your best bet for lightening the skin without grabbing for a chemical. If you really want fast results, and don't care about the possible dryness/side effects: read up on hydroquinone or arbutin. Hydroquinone is a bleaching agent found in a lot of products designed for hyperpigmentation. However, due to some health risks (fear of cancer, blah blah blah) Hyrdoquinone has been pulled out of a lot of over the counter products and has been replaced with arbutin which is a more naturally derived version of hydrquinone and less likely to cause problems. (4% Hydroquinone products are only available through and dermatologist/prescription now to my knowledge)
But honestly, if it were me I would look for a product that contained Kojic Acid which is a form of Vitamin C. Camu Camu berries, contain a lot of Vitamin C as well as a certain type of cherry (I can't think of the name of it right now though =/) But anyways, that's what I would look for. Also, I'm going to include an insert from skinstore.com below about Kojic Acid vs. Hydroquinone for you to read:
When kojic acid is applied to the skin in concentrated amounts, the chemicals in the ingredient work on the melanocytes, interfering with the production of melanin. The exact way in which kojic acid lessens melanin production is not known, but many experts believe that the ingredient prevents an enzyme known as tyroinase from beginning the reactions in the cells that are necessary for manufacturing the pigment.
Prior to the discovery of kojic acid, the ingredient hydroquinone was largely the only ingredient used for skin whitening. Hydroquinone is known to cause skin irritation in many individuals, and for these people, dermatologists often recommend kojic acid as an alternative method for treating skin discoloration. Those with very sensitive skin may still develop redness or itching from the use of kojic acid, but overall, the ingredient is better tolerated than hydroquinone. The effects of kojic acid have been reported as being identical to those of hydroquinone or slightly less noticeable.
Products I recommend are the Mario Badescu Whitening Mask or the La Roche Posay Mela D Pigment Control.
Anyways, sorry for the long bit of info. Hope this helps!
