I really like the look of some of OCC liptars but the packaging is a dealbreaker for me. Any suggestions for a long-wearing lippy with nice old-school lipstick packaging.

I personally like Make Up For Ever's Rouge Artist lines. And believe it or not, I find Avon lipsticks to last a pretty long time on me.

I honestly like Mac lipsticks! They're really creamy & last a long time. A drugstore alternative would be the nyx butter lipsticks (:

May I suggest a lip primer? I use Too Faced lip primer and it extends the life of all my lippies. Some of the mods on here also suggested to a similar question a lipstick sealant, one is from sally Hansen, but I don't remember the other one, maybe Jacqueline might see this and know what I'm talking about.

Wow thanks for all the replies! I have the MAC and NYX Butter lipsticks but they both wear off quickly on me. The butter leaves a bit of a stain at least. I will try a lip primer. So many things to prime, now...

OK I went searching for the KVD liquid and there is a supposedly longwearing formula in a tube (and what a tube it is too!) Anyone tried the studded lipstick from KVD?

I use max factor lip pen and it stays around 14-15 hours! Like the maybelline lippy Hannah suggested, it is hard to wipe off but it's soo much easier to apply than normal lipstick I find. It's like lipstick but in felt tip form if you get me😂😂

I've tried both the liquid lipstick and the studded kiss lipstick from KVD. I much prefer the liquid. I feel like the studded kiss lipstick is very drying, smudges easily, and some shades apply patchy. You definitely have to work with them more. While the liquid ones don't have as wide of a selection, they apply much better and I personally think they last longer. You can drink something and that lipstick literally does not move. The only downfall is that it's a little difficult to remove.

I love most of the Revlon Chubby sticks. They tend to be very creamy and hydrating and leave a stain so there's still color! Even the Matte balms are silky smooth :) Also, using a matching or similar lip liner works well to prolong the wear (or sometimes I just use the liner alone)

In general for lipsticks in bullet form, on me I've noticed matte formulas last a little longer. The KVD Studded Kiss has some awesome colors and the formula is okay. A few are kinda on the patchy so you have to swipe them a few times but they wear nicely overall. A bit drying. The KVD Liquid Lipsticks last a very long time and dry to a really pretty matte finish. Lime Crime's Velvetines also last a very long time if you wanna go with another liquid lipstick alternative. MUFE makes a liquid lipstick (one side is color and the other side is a clear gloss) THEY ARE EXTREMELY DIFFICULT TO REMOVE!! Not joking. I swatched one of the colors on my hand and it left a stain on my hand that would not come off no matter what I tried.
So far, my favorite lipsticks are Bare Minerals Marvelous Moxie collection, Nars Audacious Lipsticks, Lime Crime Opaque Lipsticks. With any lipstick, I use Anna Sui Lip Color Top Coat on top of it to make it smudge proof and longer lasting. You can find the Anna Sui right here on Beautylish 😊

Thanks for all these recs guys. I have tried lipstains and they are ok on me, but generally can't make it past lunch. I like the look of the Anna Sui top coat. Maybe I will try some of that with a lipstick that I already have.
