As we all know the Lorac Mega Pro eyeshadow palette was released. And what a nightmare it has been for me personally. My daughter ordered the palette thru Amazon using my credit card...she stalked the website like a true makeup addict and as soon as it popped up she was on it.
She was happy and excited till she received her package...in a padded envelope...banged up and looking like it had been around the world in 30 days. Shadows cracked, some even completely shattered. I've been following this nightmare on various social media pages and I'm very disappointed in how everything is being handled by Lorac and Amazon.
Word of advice for future purchases of highly coveted cosmetics...especially when it comes to limited edition items. If you can, place your orders using a credit card that offers purchase protection. Debit cards and some secured credits do not offer such protection. I always use my AMEX whenever I order anything online because if it comes to me damaged/or lost I just file a claim with them and I'm refunded..no headache of me trying to deal with the shipper.
I did look up the American Express Serve card (its a pre-paid credit card) and they do offer purchase protection (just have to keep your account in good standing to be covered). I'm actually thinking about getting one for my daughter so she can stay away from my credit card.lol
Anyone here have a positive/negative experience behind purchasing this palette?

Oh no I'm so nervous now. I bought 2 of these palette, one for me and one for my mother-in-law, but I had it shipped to a friend in New York since they don't ship to Denmark! I just texted her to open mine to see if they are okay!!

That's a good tip on the Amex etc..thankfully I haven't had stuff come so badly damaged.
I was going to order it on amazon. but it wasn't avail when I looked so oh well..I don't fight for product. its not that serious.

Naomi...after seeing women act crazy at a MAC counter over some LE stuff I knew that day I would not break my neck trying to chase cosmetics down. I made an exclusion recently...it was a Guerlain item but it was a painless process and it took Sephora only a week to sell out on it...not mere hours and there are multiple retailers for the line. Lorac really did their fans/supporters so wrong on this one.

I bought one and am waiting for my sister to bring it to me as where I live I can't get Lorac. I am so dreading it now.... After having bought my palette, I read the bad packaging reviews.... What a bummer...
