If you're interested in something like this I'd go to a trained professional to get it done.

How it works is they roll that over your skin. As you can see it's covered in tiny needles which pierce the skin encouraging it to heal itself (hopefully healing over any acne scarring) However, due to the nature of the process you would want this done in a sterile environment to prevent infection. It's also vital that you use the correct amount of pressure as too much could cause scarring.

Like I said, if this is something you're interested in then go to a professional.

I've heard Traci talk about this and she too said it should be done by a pro. Usen it wrong could cause more damaged.

It really looks like a torture device lol
and like it's been said here it is used mainly to treat acne scars and to tighten the skin/reduce small wrinkles. it will probably won't work on active acne and I guess it could do some serious damage... and I really wouldn't reccomend doing it by yourself. I already heard horror stories across the internet about scars, small cuts, infections etc
but if it's done by a professional with serums to help the process and heal the skin better it is supposed to be great.

Absolutely do NOT do this yourself. This is a medical procedure that should only be performed by a trained professional in a sterile environment.

The needles must be the correct size and used with the proper pressure and technique, or else you risk nerve damage. Additional risks include infections, wounds, scars, and acne.

I haven't seen any empirical documentation of benefits of this procedure. Many estheticians claim that it is used for scarring and minor wrinkles, but I can't find anything from reputable medical journals to support this. That doesn't mean that it doesn't work; it may not be the subject of any studies or currently published research.
