Long enough title yet? lol. anyways, I apologize if this is in the wrong category, I just figured since it's eyebrow hairs it could go under hair lol.

happy Friday lovelies! do you have any experience/knowledge on eyebrow lightening? do you do it yourself or is it offered at salons? how did it turn out? if you do it yourself, do you recommend anything? :)

Yeah, I'd much rather have a professional do it lol but I'd never heard about it in a salon so I wasn't sure if that was an option. thanks, love :)

I believe Sally Hanson had a kit available at the drug store that's fairly easy to work. I'd look for videos on YouTube too. But yeah a professionally done job may be best.

I've had my eyebrows professionally lightened before at a regular hair salon. However... When you lighten eyebrows that are really dark they tend to get too warm toned if that makes sense. It didn't look bad but it looked a little odd to me. Hope this helped:)

Did you end up keeping them lightened? I have black eyebrows so I'm a little scared to get orange-y brows lol.

I have naturally black eyebrows and I did end up keeping them (my hair was light at the time). They did look a little brassy-orange brown. But it didn't really last long.. My eyebrows looked back to normal in a month or two. I guess because my eyebrows grow really fast I'm not sure!

Would a colored brow gel/spoolie thing maybe cover the brassiness? thank you for answering my questions btw, you've been really helpful :)

Yes it would definitely help:) it really wasn't bad looking at all. And maybe it was just me knowing that they could possibly be brassy that made me think they were more brassy than they actually were:p either way some tinted brow gel would probably make it not noticeable at all:) and you're so welcome! I'm glad I could help:)

I have never done it myself but I know nicole Guerriero on YouTube has a video on this. I believe she uses some product from Sally's Beauty supply. (I think it's the sally Hansens kit) 😀

I would get it professionally done for the first time! They will find a colour that works well with your natural hair colour - or find the right tone to soften your features. I highly recommend it :) Maybe after you can do some touch ups with the Sally kit people have mentioned. Best of luck!!
