Do acrylics damage your real nail?

It depends how and when you take them off. I respectfully disagree with some of the ladies above, only because I wore acrylics for years, and sure, when you take them off, your nails are a bit thin and prone to breakage, but if they're properly removed and you have a solid nail care routine plan for after you take them off, your nails should be fine! I have a few tips on post-acrylic nail care. Don't use them as tools! I.e: opening boxes, peeling tape, opening soda cans, etc. and also, make sure to always keep your hands an cuticles moisturized, it really helps to use it after a cuticle oil. If you have any further questions, just message me!! 😊

They do get damaged but your nail will grow and it'll get back to how it was. it will take some time though

Yes. Mine are so bad I swear they do it on purpose so I'll keep coming back. They are really that bad that I just wanna keep them hidden at this point.

My nails were genuinely so strong and hardly ever broke. People would assume they were fake. I got acrylics done twice in a row to see what the fuss was about and they're so thin now that they bend and break to everything :((( I can't even itch without them bending. I'd say stay away!!

Agree with Traci...it doesn't matter if you get them taken off professionally either... they leave your nails thin... and you also get ridges in your nails from the nail growing out...it takes awhile to get your nails back in shape as well after you take them off.

Yessss don't get it!! Oh my gosh mine are always damaged afterwards but if you must get them after you get them taken off you can buy this product called Nail Gel , it works really fast to get your nails back to normal.
