So the other day someone told me I look 25. I'm 20!! I looked in the mirror and realized that my eyes were making me look older. I have super dark circles and therefore I do use concealer on them to cover up. But yet compared to when I had my makeup on, and then when I took it off, I looked more youthful without the concealer!! Why?? It's all creased and full of lines. What should I do to fix this? Thanks ladies!!

Try a colour corrector. a salmon colour will cancel out the darkness of your undereye area. smashbox is an amazing brand specialized on these things :)

Sounds like you're using a cheep product. I recommend Nars creamy radiant concealer.

The concealer you're using could be too emollient, what concealer are you using right now? There are plenty of options in the drugstore, high-end is definitely not your only option!

I have really dark circles and small bags under my eyes. I started taking vitamin A everyday and drinking at least three liters of water. In about about a week I saw them going away. Almost completely gone in under two weeks.

Makeup probs can age you at any age! What kind of concealer are you using? Creams are kind of notorious for settling into lines, though maybe there are better ones that don't. A little primer under a liquid concealer works best for me. An eyebrightening formula with some salmon color in it can be really great. Lots of folks swear by the brightening shade of the age rewind concealer for dark circles. Try to moisturize around your eye more. You may feel you are too young for an eye cream, and they are all mostly just marketing or hype anyway, but extra layer of moisturizer at night in the eye area can do wonders. Moisturize that area again in the a.m. as well before starting your makeup routine.

I agree with Julia & I also agree that you need to get a better concealer.

Thanks so much ladies!! Appreciate the input. I was using OCC. Maybe it's too thick? I'll try the suggestions!!

How are you applying it? I find when I use a flat concealer brush, I apply way too much. Using too much can definitely cause creasing. Are you using powder to set it? Too much powder can "age" you and emphasize the fine lines. Now, using a small amount of powder can help prevent creasing too (just go easy with it).

Also, I don't know how true this is but one of the popluar youtube beauty gurus (sorry, can't remember which one) said that applying concealer with fingers from the inner coner to outer then outer to inner multiple times as opposed to just inner to outer will prevent creasing. Hope that makes sense. Kinda like windshield wiper motion, back and forth tapping, not dragging.
