So occasionally I get breakouts on my upper back. I use the Proactive Body Scrub an lotion on my back daily. Lately the areas where I use it have been itching right after I get out of the shower. It's almost like a rash that disappears after 5 minutes. My skin always clears up, but I'm not sure if I should keep using Proactive. What should I do?
noooo don't use proactive did you know that once you stop using it the break out just becomes worse ? i HIGHLY recommend NOXZEMA i use this its perfect it clears skin quick you can get it at your local drug store such as cvs rite aid walgreens target walmart its not expensive at all and it works sooo good !
if it works to get rid of the acne, keep using it! but if the rash continues to get worse and irritate more, stop the use and find a similar product that reacts with your skin in a better way
Dont ! Ive used this long time ago not cause i had acne just to keep my skin from getting pimples and it burned the hell out of my skin. The ingredients are way to harsh for the skin. Just stay away from it !
I used it had no problems with it except it did not really do what I needed it to...I switched to dermalogica and got a clarisonic and now my skin is amazing not oily like before and normal and flawless and noticed a dif in the first use and after a week or less noticed my skin clearing up
It also depends on the person and skin type. If your getting irritation. Try using every other day. You have to find what works for you. I tried proactiv years ago and loved it. My face broke out (typical for many acne products) then cleared and looked flawless. I used it about five years ago for the second time, flawless skin again! Now I'm very hormonal and breaking out in cystic pimples due to just having a baby. Really thinking about trying proactiv Another round.... Good Luck!
Is it just in the winter? getting a hot shower then applying medicated products to ur skin when its already dry from it being winter can cause ur skin to be very itchy. Get a good lotion and try applying it 10 mins after the proactive.
I use it and love it. It works for me. Also it works really well for my niece. I think it just depends. Down side it does dry my skin out more in the winter. Erica H it's might just be you have some dry skin. Not sure of you have cold weather where live and that also may play a part.

No. What works for me is using a simple cleanser (neutrogena fresh foaming face wash) and a prescription at night to stop breakouts (retin a).
