I decided to review Smashbox's lipgloss in "Pout," which can be purchased here. http://www.smashbox.com/product/6123/29878/Lips/Lip-Gloss/BE-LEGENDARY-LIP-GLOSS/New/index.tmpl

"Pout" is a pastel pink lipgloss, which, is actually an extremely close match to OPI's nail color, "Mod About You." The other colors in Smashbox lip glosses I have are, "Radiant," a shimmery brownish purple color, "Tease," a bright magenta color, (no shimmer) and "Luster," an extremely shimmer vannila-white color.

I purchased this particular lipgloss last year, in a set containing four other lip glosses (which I will not be including because I cannot seem to find the particular shades available for purchase anymore) however, it is the same color as the lipgloss available in the "Be Legendary" line. (I have even tried the "newer" version of the lipgloss from a friend and can indeed confirm the colors and consistency are the same.)

Pros:
Pout is a very bright bluish, nearly white pink, great for anyone looking for a pretty noticeable color. (However, since it is a blue based lipgloss, it would probably look better on fairer skintones)
The lipgloss is pretty long lasting, and once applied correctly, looks quite nice in my opinion.

Cons:
The lipgloss is quite, *quite* sticky and can easily get "lumpy."It is honestly one of the stickiest lip glosses I have tried!
I found it was hard to get the "right amount" of gloss. Apply too little, and the color did not show, or appeared uneven. Apply to much, and the lipgloss easily sticks together and looks quite unattractive.
Overall, the lipgloss was hard to apply. I found myself having to be very careful in application, which, with lipgloss does not appeal to me as it's not something in my makeup toolbox I'd like to spend a large amount of time on.
It cannot be applied very well without a mirror, again, because it's hard to find the happy-medium of the right amount of lipgloss.

If anyone has used this product before in "Pout," and has found a way that works well for them, I'd be happy to hear it!

Overall Rating:
2.5/5.
I would recommend this product to someone looking for a "heavier" lipgloss, however, for most, I would not recommend it, especially not for everyday use. While some of the other colors from Smashbox have worked well for me, there is something about "Pout" that is not working all that well. I was disappointed honestly, because it was the first bright yet light pink lip gloss I had purchased, and I had high hopes for Smashbox, considering I quite enjoy all their eye products, especially their Mascara - which is wondrous.
Again, I've tried five of Smashbox's lip glosses in various shades, and found that I am much happier with even a drugstore brand, such as Rimmel.

I hope this is helpful to some!

Cas,Thanks for the review much appreciated.I have the smash box lip enhancing gloss Illume it's a light illuminated gloss very pretty and not sticky at all thank goodness because I'm not a fan of Mac lipglass heavy sticky texture but love the colors and was thankful the sb gloss wasn't like it at all.:-)

Lauren - I'd give other Smashbox glosses a bit higher rating. From what I've noticed, the colors with a bit of shimmer seem to be less sticky? "Pout" is by far the worst offender. However, the ones I listed at the top of the review (Radiant, Tease, and Luster) are all darker shades, and I'd rate them a bit higher. Perhaps a 3.5/5.
But overall, the Smashbox glosses from the line I've tried have had pretty similar results. (Although I'm not sure about any of their other lip products, I've yet to try them.)

Is there anyway it could be expired?

There is possibility it could be expired, from my experience lip glosses last a pretty long time.
It's been that way since the day I bought it, honestly.
