So This is my first time being on a swim team, and obviously we are in the pool every day. I've been washing my hair every day after practice, because it still gets in the chlorine even with a swim cap, and everyone else washes their hair each time too. It was a big change from washing my hair only a few times a week. How can I keep my hair healthy and soft even when I'm swimming every day?

Make sure you use leave in conditioners, leave in oils (argon) and use a deep conditioner once or twice a week.

I would use a really good shampoo and a lot of it on your roots. When I swam on a team I found that after awhile my shampoo wasn't getting all the chlorine out of my hair. I also left my normal conditioner on my hair for about 3-5 minutes while I did other things in the shower like shave the I would wash/ comb it out

I used cleansing conditioner, it really cleans your hair but doesn't dry it out

Before getting in the pool, wet your hair first. Wetting your hair with non chlorine water will allow your hair to be less porous to the chlorine because its cuticle is already full. Also, put in some leave in conditioner to kinda fill in the holes. Doing this will kinda act like a barrier and not allow any more water to be absorbed.

Omg I had this problem quit swimming now though but just lots of leave in conditioners and I found argon oil helped my hair quite a lot,

When I swam I used a speical shampoo that helped with the damage but unfortunately I don't remember the name sorry I couldn't be of much help.
