So I been using tea tree about 4 months now and at first I loved it, but now it giving my flakes and dry patches on my hair line. At first I thought it was because I wasn't washing it off right, now I make sure to rinse it off well specially in the front but I'm still having the problem and its making my hair dry and dull. Can anyone recommend a good brand shampoo that will help with the flakes and leave it smooth and shiny?

Head and Shoulders has a line that's called Soft and Silky or Smooth and something, or.. actually I don't remember the name of it but you'll know it when you see it. It's got pink packaging, and I love it.
Another thing you could do is put coconut oil in your hair once a week, from root to tip, let it stay in there for an hour or so (or leave it in overnight) then shampoo really well in the morning (may wanna shampoo twice) and it'll keep flakes away for at least a few days, and your hair will be extremely soft and shiny.

Head and shoulders is really good. Selsun blue is ok but it's pretty detergent (drying). Coconut oil sounds like a good remedy. You may be able to buy some tea tree oil and add it to a shampoo you already enjoy?
