I really want a noticeably whiter, brighter smile but I don't want to pay 50+ dollars unless I have to for strips. Do any of you know a way to whiten teeth at home that actually WORKS? Or Atleast an alternative that's under $20? Any help would be great, thanks :)

The crest 3D white glamorous white tooth paste with the corresponding toothbrush and mouth wash works great. it made my teeth noticeably whiter and brighter. My teeth are white white now but before they weren't that badly stained or yellow.

I'm not sure about the original price, or how much they sell them for at Bartell Drugs, but in this week's ads they have at $15 off coupon for Crest 3D strips at Bartells.

Doctor George's teeth whitening, it's around 20 bucks and you get it online 😃 my dentist recommended it.

Seriously... Baking soda. I can't stand the flavor myself, but I've heard (and seen on others) that it works like a dream. You can just use water to mix, or I've also heard of using peroxide with it (like dip your toothbrush in it, and then dip it into the soda). It helps make it bubbly and get into crevasses. Peroxide is also a good disinfectant, so it'd probably help freshen breath, too, I would think :)

A good ol' cheap way is definitely what Jessica said.. Peroxide & baking soda twice a month. It tastes disgusting, but worth it in my opinion. I mix it together, put it on q-tip and rub it on my teeth and leave my mouth open for about 5 minutes, rinse and then brush my teeth with a whitening toothpaste. It's amazing.

Do NOT use peroxide or baking soda. They are both horrible for your teeth. They ruin your enamel. And once your enamel is gone, it doesn't come back and your teeth will be super sensitive since they don't have a protective layer, and they will be easier to break (my mom has barely any enamel due to baking soda as a teen and she accidentally gently bumped her tooth on a glass cup and the roots broke, causing her tooth to fall out) they will also get cavities faster and they will be worse to fill. So please, do NOT use any DIY shit with your teeth. They aren't worth messing with. They aren't like hair where it'll grow back. Once they're ruined you're screwed.

Instead just stick to professional whitening a or at least store bought kits that won't ruin your enamel.
