Yes. I've used all the other oils before but didn't notice much of a change. I've been searching the web and people recommend it but just wondering what everyones personal opinions about it are.

Haha no worries! I'm falling asleep here anyway but caught your response. It does look like it has some nice benefits so I guess it's worth a try! Might as well test it out now going into the winter months and maybe it will make somewhat of a difference before next summer. Thanks for your help!

I didn't like castor oil one bit. :/ I have very coarse dry curly hair, so I was looking for something to moisturizer, tame some frizz and add shine. Castor oil did none of that for me. If you're looking for added moisture to your hair or some damage repair its wonderful! These are just my experience, If you decide on castor oil, I hope it works for you!

It took FOREVER to get it all out of my hair. The benefits were not worth the process lol. I just use coconut or olive oil instead.

Castor oil is not to put all over your hair. It is usually applied to the scalp or edges lightly to simulate hair growth.

I heard it's very thick! I just got some. I forgot the original purpose of this stuff lol. Some people say to mix it with a lighter oil to thin it out. Looks like rain most of the week so I'll try it now in case it goes wrong. Thanks again for all of your help!

It is very sticky and thick. I can't imagine what it's going to be like trying to wash this out. But hey, if it works on my hair I guess it's worth it!

Castor oil's original purpose is a laxative.

Oils don't actually promote hair growth, prevent hair loss, or treat infections. In fact, using oil over an infection can make it WORSE: the oil traps bacteria. Nothing can make hair grow faster than it's maximum rate, that is purely determined by genetics. Also, nothing can repair split ends, as the length of the hair is actually already dead. You can't fix what is already dead, you can only cut off the damage.

Most oils, including castor oil, are not actually conditioners or moisturizers. They trap moisture and prevent it from evaporating, creating the illusion that they are moisturizing.

Castor oil is extremely dense, and moderately comedogenic. On the scalp this may not be an issue, but keep it away from your face. Most of the benefits that it supposedly provides are compete old wives' tales. It probably won't hurt to try it on your hair, but it probably won't do anything positive either. You're better off using your money on a good deep conditioner.

Yikes. Well I put it on my hair yesterday and washed it out. Wasn't that difficult to get out but it's a mess while on. I was not going to put it anywhere near my face because of sensitive skin to begin with. Thanks for the extra info! I'll have to decide if I'll keep using it or not.
