How Do I Get Thicker Hair?

My hair is thin and I want to get it thicker. I do straighten my hair but not to much and not for a long period of time. I do use the heat protect serum too so it doesn't burn my hair. any tips on how to get it thicker?

Also, simply blow drying your hair up-side-down will give the illusion of thicker hair.
