It depends if you like warmer or cooler tones. They're the same formula just different colors.

I agree with the ladies above however I don't own either. I do have the coastal scents revealed palette which is awesome and much more affordable if you're interested:)

Oops I just realized the dupes in my CS palette correspond with the regular naked 1 and 2 not the basics. Sorry! The only difference I've noticed when I did a comparison (in the middle of ulta lol) was the colors were a TINY bit less pigmented and of course coastal scents shadow is a bit more fallout prone:)

I would personally go for 2, but that's because I have cool toned skin. If your skin's warm, though, I'd go for 1.

I prefer Naked basics 2- with the first one, I used the rich brown shade and naked 2 faster than the other colors. Venus, Foxy and Wos are all too similar IMO. More variety in the second basic palette
