Hi ladies (and Gents)! I have very thick, curly hair and was wondering if any of you have any recommendations for an after shower serum or spray I can put in my hair to help keep the frizz down a little bit. I make my own shampoo and conditioner but if I don't put anything in it while it dries I have to rewet my hair to style it again. I've tried a few things like FrizzEase and Carol's Daughter but they don't seem to do the trick. Any suggestions?

I don't have curly hair, so I don't know if this will work for you, but I use the loreal extraordinary oil! I use it in damp hair and it makes my hair so lovely and manageable! I know that there's a anti frizz series of products from John Frida I believe it's called! They probably have an oil as well :)

And I have to know how you make your own shampoo!?!

I use a cocktail of OGX Kukui Oil curl cream, L'Oreal Nourishing leave-in spray, and OGX Kukui Oil spray. Leaves my hair soft and springy :)

Sabrina, I use a mixture of baking soda and water to make a paste.. You could also use 1tbs baking soda to 1 cup water, I just prefer the paste since it's so thick and curly. I also make my own conditioner.. One cup Apple cider vinegar to one cup water (again because it's so thick). For my conditioner, sometimes I'll herb infuse the water, just so it smells better, or if I'm lazy just add a few drops of essential oils, whatever I feel like. I've literally tried everything for my hair and have spent the last 24 years searching for products and haven't ever gone back to store bought after my first batch of those. Super cost effective, natural, and it works... Just needed a little something to keep me from looking like a lion until it dries (:

That's great that it works so well for you!! I used baking soda in my hair once to rinse out some hair dye that turned out to dark, and my hair got kind of weird, kind of felt like straw but also a bit greasy! Very weird! Have you experienced that?

I haven't, not yet at least. My hair is also fairly oily, so the drying out might just not dry me out as much...

Hmm maybe it was just a bad luck experience I had :)

I like putting R+Co Jackpot Styling Creme, then Bumble and Bumble surf spray. I tuck the front ends of my hair behind my ears then let my hair air dry. Try to not touch your hair at all while it's drying. Then once dry I finish with Suave Professionals Natural Infusion Light Oil Spray.

And Norwegian/Swedish.. Leave it to the teacher to leave out the two countries that primarily make up Scandinavia.. Duh! Lol.

I would try the curl gelee from Shea Moisture! I think they a have their offices in Sweden so you can find their products in your local drugstores:)

I read the article in glamour magazine, that where I herd it from. Then my friend bought me the products. So you would have to look online.
