I think the dark brown would be beautiful but I'm a fan of jet black hair. & I've never ever had a problem with mine being dull or flat looking, it always looks shiny and sleek

Hm I know black over bleached hair can fade quickly and end up kind of dishwater-y so maybe try dark brown first and get a feel for how the darker color works for you? Then if you decide to go black it'll act as a bit of a filler so it won't fade so much.

I'm talking about the color too. I'm a hairstylist though, so it's probably the different color lines that make it fade faster or not be as dimensional, because my color (and my clients that have black) always looks dimensional and rich. Box black usually does look dull though. Jacks idea is great

I have jet black hair currently. I absolutely love it! I'm pretty pale also. If your not sure I used to have a black to dark brown ombré.
