You could try using a protective heat serum spray and then you could use a curler to curl your hair on a medium heat
Add some hairspray all over your hair and if you have layers spray under them too
X: if you feel your hair could come loose out of its waves,take some hairspray with you

Maybe roughly curl your hair randomly with a thin barrel wand and toustle it and spray in some sea salt spray?
