I think that it depends on you and your eyelids. Personally, the Urban Decay Primer Potion is utterly lovely. It's super long lasting (we're talking straight 19 hours, here), it isn't dry and also doesn't dry out my eyelids. It also makes the colors seem more pigmented and vibrant, which I like. Other good options would be the Too Faced Shadow Insurance, the Lorac Behind the Scenes, the Nars Primer, the Kat Von D High Voltage Primer =)

Hannah is right, everyone is different. UD Primer Potion does nothing for me lol. I have oily lids and the UD Eden primer is amazing for me. The NARS one is good too, and it's less thick. The Lorac one is good too :)

Love too faced shadow insurance. I've also seen NYX's milk pencil work really well as a base if you want a cheaper option, but I can't speak for how long it lasts.
