Hey guys,

Recently I've been hearing about the tumeric facemask and how amazing it is. I have fair arabian skin and was unsure as to whether it'd stain on my face or not. Has anyone tried it before and if so how did you find it?

Also, does anyone have any secret home remedy face masks that make your skin uh-may-zinggg!?

Okay I was honestly about to make my own thread about this! Lol. I have been using a turmeric mask for about a year or maybe more now and I can honestly tell you my skin has looked better than it ever has with any topical treatments or even prescriptions from the dermatologist (other than accutane..which I would not recommend because of how harsh it is on the body)! While it can get pretty messy and a pain to wash off, the results are SO worth it. My skin has never been so smooth. It won't stain your face. It may be a bit yellow tinted over night, so I would recommend you use it either when you don't have to go anywhere first thing the next morning, or earlier in the evening to give it time to fade. Using a toner after it will also help remove it from your skin. I do believe there are 2 types of turmeric: one that stains and one that does not, but look it up because I can't remember the actual names. You can find regular turmeric at any grocery store and it only cost about $3-$6 depending on the brand!

I make my turmeric mask with olive oil, turmeric, and lemon juice. I keep it in the refrigerator so it doesn't get moldy (as they are food products) and apply it almost every night. I'm absolutely obsessed haha.

Please let me know if you have any more questions about it! I'd be more than happy to help :) good luck! xx

Haha I am in LOVE! I've done quite a bit of research on the spice itself and it helps to calm inflammation, redness, irritation, hyperpigmentation. It also helps with other health conditions too in ingested! Blackheads I'm not too sure about, but it is a natural exfoliator as well so it would at least improve it!

Something totally off topic but contributes to the uses of turmeric...we'll give it to our horses of they have a cough--clears them up the next day!

Turmeric is awesome! I add it to my soups and stir fries as well as mix it with yogurt for a weekly mask. It stained my skin but it the rest of the yellow color was gone when I washed again in the morning.
