If you normally get it, do you know what causes it usually? I have easily bothered skin and get red itchy patches often as well. I find what makes them worse is when I use certain laundry detergent om my clothes or bedding. Do you remember if maybe it got this bad around this time last year? Because it might be weather related also. Sorry for the scrambled reply. I just find that when this happens to me, these are the main causes.

And as leslie said, it could be an alergic reaction to something you ate recently, or maybe a new product youve tried introducing to your skin.

@leslie @sandra I did have a scarf on actually but no perfume or lotion. you girls are right though I should keep more attention to when I get the rash maybe I can narrow down the causes thanks so much I was worried it can be a disorder of some sort/;

@madison
honestly I never really pay attention to what the cause may be when I get it. The last time I remember I got it was when I was leaving the movie theatres. I had aten popcorn that day and soda. But I don't get itch though it feels a bit warm and little burning at times. Also I ate a spicy chicken from carls jr but I eat those a lot so I don't know if its that. I will keep track of when it happens though thanks madison(:

Could be from stress! Try an oatmeal bath or soothing lotion without fragrances and try not to worry too much.

Is the scarf made of wool? You could be reacting to that.
I get rashes on my chest and neck all the time, but it isn't an inflammatory response. My blood pressure tends to drop suddenly, then as it rises back to normal my skin flushes and I look like I'm having an allergic reaction when it is really just my blood. You might experience something similar, if you can't find an external cause. I don't notice mine though, it doesn't have any symptoms with it. If yours it itchy or burning, it's inflammatory.

It looks EXACTLY what I get. I've gotten it off and on for over 7 years and I have no idea why. I've changed laundry detergents, don't wear perfume, changed the materials I wear and nothing has ever helped. I've been to numerous doctors and allergists and they all have no idea. They all gave me cortizone cream which did absolutely nothing. At home to stop the itching and burning you can place an ice pack on the area which dramatically helps. The only other thing that ever worked for me was when my dermatologist gave me Betaderm Cream. You would have to get this prescription from your doctor. It works like a mircale! I finally found out that I suffer from dermatitis from an unknown cause. To this day I don't know what I react to but if I start to feel itchy I put some Betaderm cream on myself and it's gone within a few days.

I get that if I feel nervous actually! Just avoid tough or eough fabrics on that spot, a cool washcloth should help:)
