Well, last night I was taxi driver for my daughter as I took her to meet with a tv reporter in-studio to take an updated head-shot. Her client came in with her own foundation and primer. Before my daughter even started in to work she stated to the reporter how on tv her makeup appears to look uneven and without wasting another minute my daughter looked up the ingredients on her phone. Apparently the foundation and primer were not compatible.
She had a water-based foundation and silicone based primer. So if you are having issues with your primer/foundation combo make sure that both are compatible. An oil-based foundation will not gel right with a water based primer. When Maya applied the correct primer and then the foundation you could see a huge difference in just the overall texture of her skin and it looked even.
What's sad is that this woman has been dealing with this combination for quite some time because an unaware MUA had suggested those two to the client and she just rolled with it. So those who aspire to be working artists...learning about the science behind the cosmetics is vital.
So if you have issue with you foundation and primer just check out what the ingredients are for both...you just might find your problem fairly quickly.

I know its been mentioned before by another BL beauty a long time ago but sometimes a reminder is needed since there is huge influx of new followers here. I have often slipped up myself and paired up the wrong foundation/primer and then complain when my face looks gross.

Does anyone know what L'oreal true match is based with? I have been having problems with it and this Might be the reason!

@Caitlin...I think Loreal True Match contains silicones...I'm not sure because I tried looking up the ingredients via my phone and the wi-fi where I'm at is dragging. But I'm pretty sure that it does because they claim that the product is super blendable and only 'cones allow that to happen (as well as glycerin).
