What do you all think is the best book, or app for understanding the ingrediants in skincare products? Any suggestion would be appreciated!

There isn't an app unfortunately and online you have to seek out websites that have a neutral mindset and isn't out with a hidden agenda. I've found my husband's chemistry/medical/dermatology textbooks, dermatology journals the most reliable sources to learn about ingredients. A lot of it is written in typical medical lingo so if you have the patience to cross reference terms then its very beneficial and you will definitely learn a lot. Most of those books can be found at major university libraries if you live near one ( you won't be able to check them out if you're not a student but making photocopies is not issue). Might luck out finding some at a junior college or even at the public library.

Shelley is exactly right. The absolute best way to gain real understanding is through learning from academic sources. I found that the most useful knowledge I have stained has been from chemistry, biology, and (oddly enough) food science classes at university.

Very few websites share factual information without a political agenda.
